What is the Institute for Scientific Analysis?

The Institute for Scientific Analysis (ISA) is the research division of Scientific Analysis Corporation (SAC), a nonprofit corporation formed more than thirty years ago to provide social scientists with an administrative alternative to universities and government agencies. Over the years, ISA has sponsored more than eighty research projects, contributing to policy debates in a broad range of social issues including poverty, social welfare, education, crime and delinquency, mental health, race and ethnicity, gender, child development, aging, violence, AIDS, and substance abuse.

The resources ISA provides its researchers include:

General consultation for research and development of proposals;
Expertise in grants management and funding strategies;
General administrative support including grant administration, payroll, central purchasing, and other bookkeeping services;
Institutional guidelines for confidentiality and protection of human subjects;
Access to other ISA researchers and members of the surrounding social science community;
Seminars conducted by ISA researchers and distinguished visitors;
A newsletter with articles and announcements related to social science.

If you are social scientist with research experience and a doctoral degree in one of the major social science disciplines, you may want to submit a grant proposal through ISA.
